Tips for your nomination

  • Please read the nomination criteria and FAQs before completing the form.
  • Include between 100 and 500 words in the supporting statement. This part of your nomination is really important and will be an essential part of selection.
  • Think about the impact the nominee has had. Don’t just tell us what they did, tell us why it matters to you, the Edinburgh Medical School community, and/or wider society.
  • Write for an audience who hasn’t met the person before and who doesn’t know about their work. Spell out acronyms, or don’t use them at all.
  • Please provide links to supporting materials if you have them. Examples are  online press coverage, biographies, social media profiles or interviews.
  • We recommend you keep a copy of your supporting statement for reference. It will not be possible to save and return at a later date. Please submit all the information in one go.
  • We won't be informing nominees who nominated them, but if you feel comfortable contacting your nominee, then we encourage you to let them know that you have put them forward.
